UP TO JULY 4TH

WEEKLY BLURB: HAPPY 4th of July!

As you also will read in SEASONS – Can’t Believe It’s July
for some, this 4th of July a BIG fire close by (Wed. it was 350 acres) , caused by arson, is stressful. My wish is that someone will do something special for the ones who already have been evacuated, dealing with the danger of losing their home and being uncomfortable not having their daily surroundings.

(1) The GOOD & Blue Monday, Mundane Monday): am excited for Independence Day on this Monday (no, we didn’t change flags – smile – but it’s a decorative streamer)

BBQChick&Zuch_1984(2) (2) THE FUN: Also Attention What is the 4th of July without BBQ? Our menu is Chicken, Zucchini, and potato salad, closely watched by our (almost) life-long friend Jared.

why they didn’t make a fitting funky door for it? (Thurs. Door, Weekend Reflect. Tue Treasure, Tue Travel)

To me, this white picket fence couldn’t be  more American, since it reminds me on American writers.

Waiting for the fire works in San Diego harbor with much ZEAL! That’s one thing many in America will do on July 4th. This year am not exactly sure what we’re going to do, but it will be close to home. It would be great to see a small town July 4th parade or something like that…

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR JULY 4TH WEEKEND?

At the same time HAVE FUN at SEASONS-July 4th

    1. Have a great time in France! Hope it will be peaceful wherever you will be:) As a European by origin, I can’t believe what is happening there right now.

  1. Now you make me feel guilty for leaving my grill all covered up on the porch, but at least it’s clean, ha. I’m still debating where to watch fireworks since I only had to pull a chair in the front yard in previous years. I think a funky door may be too much for that building. There’s a 7 Eleven in the building? Grape St., love it.

  2. Your BBQ looks like it’s going to be DELICIOUS! I love those half round flags.
The sunset in the harbor is gorgeous!

Big Baby Boy and his Dark Haired Beauty are coming home for the week-end. We’re BBQ’ing Bratwurst, burgers, and will have salad, watermelon, potato salad, strawberry shortcake, and probably too much beer and wine. 🙂

Oh, you love this Jesh. Big Baby Boy gifted me two or three Wine and Paint evenings for my birthday which is in May. My first one is Saturday evening. It’s painting with acrylics which I know nothing about other than it’s opposite of watercolor!
Sunday I’ll be heading out for a full day to photograph sunflowers. So, an artistic week-end for me in addition to celebrating our Independence Day with family and friends.

I received your email. I’ll write you in a bit. xx

  3. Great flower! I hope to have flower on my Canna plant this summer…
Your Barbecue photo makes me hungry! We had lovely grilled squash with pine nuts, Mozarella cheese and Oregano leaves yesterday. Yummy!

  4. I imagine fireworks are out of the question in your community with the fire danger! We’ve pretty much outgrown them at our age — we plan to spend the day with our family, but the younger ones will go to fireworks displays in the evening. Enjoyed catching up on your posts missesd whilst we traveled.

  6. From sea to shining sea! I think your photos show what the 4th is really about. 4th of July is my favorite holiday. It is a time for family to get together, have a B.B.Q, play games, ride around in the boat parade and then top it all off with a fireworks show nearby. Have a wonderful 4th of July!

  7. I like BBQ but not much of a BBQer because I don’t care to clean up afterwards. But, I have a hankering for BBQ chicken, so maybe. Potato salad for that matter. We have one of the sweetest children’s 4th of July parade in town. It’s short, too. They’re done in 5 blinks.

  8. I don’t know if you saw my comment, Jeanette, but I saw the Grape St. sign in the bg, that’s how I knew. A Chedhead born and bred, although I loved my short time in Cali.

  9. Wonderful series! That apartment is certainly interesting. I’ve been following a friend on FB who had to evacuate their home due to a fire. Very scary. Stay safe. Thanks so much for joining in Friday’s Hunt. Hope you have a great week!

  11. Good morning Jesh, Thank you for commenting on Blue Monday. As you can see I too have trouble with Mr, Linky. I am hoping to resolve the problem before next Monday. Sigh. I was gone all day on the 4th and didn’t realize there was a problem until late in the day. So annoying!!! I am so sorry.

I just have to say your photos are always very interesting and the clarity is stunning. The flower is perfect and the grilling looks so tasty. We love to grill as well. Horses are always a favorite to me and the sunset on the water is lovely.

Hope you had a great 4th and I am so glad your are not in harms way of the fire. Who thought of Drones being a problem. Wow!

Happy Blue Monday and thank you for joining us.
