STRAIGHT FORWARD

WEEKLY BLURB: Could not believe my ears, while making my lunch that day – I heard and emergency message on my stationary phone: “So-and-so went out of his residence this morning, May 12, description of weight and height.
“He is armed and dangerous. Do not approach him. Just call!” Was this the movies, or what? No wonder people have guns to protect themselves. There’s plenty of space here in the mountains to hide!

Sometimes, I like things to be straight forward, not embellished, or making it more appealing to the eye. This was one of those times. Also, sometimes I show my quirky side:) So, this is “My Happy” for our Beautiful World

(5) THE RANDOM: At some places in Holland it’s hard to avoid water, like Giethoorn. Also called the Venice of the North. They take advantage of offering tourists a ride in their boats, instead of having to walk all the way to down town:)

  1. Hello, I love the lily and the painting. The sky shot is simply beautiful. Lovely colors and post. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day and weekend ahead!

  2. That is a disconcerting message you heard on your phone. I’ve tried to figure out why the US is more violent that other countries, maybe it is the social control thing you talk about.

That sky of yours is sublime, I love your canals. I would like to visit Holland one day.

‘My guess, the best way to reach me right now is to add my email to your own, and write me from there.’

    means.

  4. That is such a delightful looking little shop. The Seagull looks somewhat comical the way it’s trotting along on it’s morning walk. I would love to go for a ride on one of those canal boats.

  6. Beautiful series of images. I have to say the lily (both picture and painting) is my favorite this week! Nice action shot of the bird, and the canals look like a great way to travel! Thank you so much for joining in Friday’s Hunt. Hope you have a great week ahead!

    1. You’re right – there is never any justification to kill someone, whether it is by choking or beating someone to death, drowning someone, poisoning, or any other way. It’s not only guns!! It has all the same intent: to kill. Remember it took me 30 plus years to change my philosophy. People in W-Eur. are not violently minded (remember, I’m Dutch), but when you live somewhere else, it may sometime come to a choice: it’s you or them who will come out alive. I hope I never have to make that choice!

  7. Hi Jesh, We live in the mountaains but do not have a gun either. It is scary to think someone can hide anywhere in our mountains.

Your photos are all beautiful but the last one and the one you shared with Blue Monday is so serene and beautiful. The water busses are fun to see and I bet they are used a lot. Holland is a beautiful place to visit.
    Have a happy week.

  8. indeed…… i can imagine that there were you live….. guns are more ‘common’ to have… but still i fear them, owning one bears the risk of it beeing taken from you and used against you… I would not allow them in my house.

Wonderful photo’s… beautiful, all of them.

    Have a nice abcwednes-day / – week

      1. well only the one section felt that watermelon slice – and whatever you did with the color made the white feel that much better – if that makes sense. (and you know I love your art./…)
